WATER AND PLANTS

WATER AND PLANTS

Most people realise how important water is to plants.
Like humans, water is the elixir of life to plants.

Many of our clients ask us how much should we water our plants.

We find in our business that many people don't realise that over watering of plants is the most common cause of plant stress.

We see more plants die of saturation.

The easiest way to check whether a garden bed is too wet or dry is simply dig a hole about a shovel depth in a few areas.

If water is pooling in the base of the hole there is too much water. The soil should me mildly moist not too wet or dry .

This is especially the case with new gardens where the new soil has not settled even more where clay soil is the base.

If you need more advice or assistance with your garden please give us a call on 0419 372 997 or send an email to yvonne@wellsdesign.com.au
